DOUBLE OUR ATTENDANCE SUNDAY AT ST. PAUL UMC

 

Two Hundred people in church at St. Paul United Methodist on Sunday, April 24. Is it possible? Of course, it is possible because God can do anything.

Matthew 19:26 (NKJV)
²⁶ But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Is it possible? Of course, God answers prayer.

Matthew 18:19 (NKJV)
¹⁹ Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.

Is it possible? Of course, when God’s people exercise faith.

Mark 11:22-24 (NKJV)
²² So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. ²³ For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. ²⁴ Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Is it possible? Of course, when God’s people work.

Nehemiah 4:6 (NKJV)
⁶ So we built the wall, and the entire wall was joined together up to half its height, for the people had a mind to work.

Is it possible? Of course, God’s plan for the church is GROWTH!

Acts 5:14 (NKJV)
¹⁴ And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women….

What’s this all about? This Easter we are going to have 200 people in our Easter morning service, on Sunday, April 24. Let’s pray and work to make it happen.

How can it happen?

GOAL: ATTENDANCE OF 200 ON EASTER SUNDAY

 We are asking everyone in our congregation to participate, whatever your age.

1. Invite five people, preferably the unchurched. Family, relatives, friends, neighbors, co-workers, someone absent from church awhile, those you know in business dealings, the mailman, waitress, someone you just met.

2. Write down the five names you want to invite on your Invest & Invite Card (or on a sheet of paper).

3. Keep the Invest & Invite Card (list) with you and pray for those people you will invite. We ask you to fast and pray one day each week. You can fast a meal, give up a particular food that day, or fast from something else you like to do. Use the time to spend in prayer for the people on your Card.

4. Extend the invitation to the people you are inviting from 7 to 10 days before Easter, April 14-17. Be sure to give each one an Invite Card to remind them about the service.

5. Write down the names of the people on the blue next step card to compile a prayer list. We will pray over those our whole congregation is inviting at our Good Friday service.

6. We can do it! 200 in our Easter Sunday service.
